Mary Thomas of Forney and formerly of Wolfe City, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at the age of 69, at the Ridgecrest Health and Rehab in Forney.
The funeral service will be 4:00 P. M. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City with Brenda Williams officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Owens Funeral Chapel.
Mary was born December 12, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas to Willie Logan and Gwyna Lou Forgason Wynne. She married Ron Thomas, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City. She belonged to the UMW, she was an Elvis fan and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 45 years. She went to Lubbock High School.
She is survived by her daughter Tammy Wynne and Richard Westbrook; son, Tony Wynne and Lori and son, Billy Clark; brothers, Billy Wynne, Buddy Wynne and Johnny Wynne and sister, Becky Orta; grandchildren, Matthew Clark and Jessica, Hayley Stiggers and husband Jeff, Logan Westbrook, Ashley Wynne, Shayla Wynne, Anthony Wynne, Jr., Johnathan Clark, Breanna Clark, Brandon Higginbotham and Chris Higginbotham; great-grandchildren, Destiny Kitchens, Libbey Mashburn, Christopher Leeth, Luke Leeth, Cooper Leeth, Andrew Stiggers, Jakarian Allen, Emani Rosado, Justice Stiggers and Jazell Stiggers and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Buddy Clark; granddaughter, Wendi Leeth; sister, Lou Sharbino and spouse, Ronald Thomas.
My heart goes out to all of Mary’s family. She was a very giving and caring women who loved her family & my dad. He loved her too. Her absence will be felt by many. RIP Mary.
