Jerry Mitchell Parrish, age 79, passed away at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, November 10, 2023.  He was born to Millard Nathan and Ester Lucille Cain Parrish in Durham, which is a small community near Wolfe City, June 5, 1944.

The graveside service will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City at 11:00 A. M. Monday, November 20, 2023.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Stacey Moore and her husband Nathan, grand children: Hunter Moore, Tanner Moore, Connor Moore and McCall Moore.  He is also survived by his brother Billy Parrish and wife Kay, and sister-in-law Kathleen Parrish.  He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dwight Parrish and James Parrish and wife Nelda.

After serving in the Army Reserves, Jerry worked for years as an electrician.  When he was not working, he enjoyed building and riding dune buggies and camping with his brothers and friends. The family would often get together and have a fish fry and call it a family reunion. In his later years, Jerry loved visiting garage sales and flea markets in order to re-sell his finds. If you found him in his chair relaxing, he was more than likely watching old westerns. Jerry was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Canton.
