February 7, 1915 – December 13, 2012 Mildred Myrtie Butler age 97, of Wolfe City, Texas died December 13, 2012 at her Aberfoyle home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 7, 1915 in Wolfe City, Texas to Williams Sheridan Tiffee and Zula Rebecca Bolton Tiffee. She married Robert Houston Butler on February 5, 1936 in Wolfe City, Texas. Mrs. Butler was a homemaker devoted to her family and church. Her grandmother and mother were charter members of Aberfoyle Baptist Church and she was a member there all her life.
Survivors include four children, Betty Jean Hightower and husband David of Lenexa, Kansas, Robert Dale Butler and wife Janice of Weatherford, Judy Elaine Silman and husband John of Cooper and Kathy Turner and husband Steven of Commerce; nine grandchildren, Mark Hightower and wife Valerie, Susan Morales and husband Ron, Bryan Butler, Angie Moore and husband Ronnie, Shawn Silman and wife Susan, Shanna Marshall and husband Jason, Jay Silman and wife Kelly, Jason Turner and wife Pat, and Daniel Turner; and 14 great grandchildren.
Her husband, parents, five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Kerry Meador officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas. Pallbearers are Mark Hightower, Bryan Butler, Shawn Silman, Jay Silman, Jason Turner, and Daniel Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy “Tuck” Caldwell, Marvin Pack, William Tiffee, Joe Williams, and Jason Marshall.
