Alma Joyce Traylor, Beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the age of 81. Alma Joyce Traylor was born on August 30, 1931, in Wolfe City, Texas, to Alvrietta and Loyd Wilcox.
She graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1948. She married Bill Traylor of Bailey, Texas in 1952 and had three sons whom she adored-Gary, Jeff, and Jon. She worked for Merrill Lynch at their downtown office in Dallas as an Executive Administrative Assistant for thirty-five years before she retired in 1988. In her retirement, she was known for her prize winning quilts at the State Fair of Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alvrietta and Loyd Wilcox; brothers Alford Wilcox and Jack Wilcox; and sister Kathleen Williams.
Survived are her beloved husband, Bill Traylor, of 61 years; son Gary and wife Janet Traylor; son Jeff Traylor and Christi White; and son Jon and wife Cindy Traylor; grandchildren Zackery Traylor, Abigail Traylor, Henry Traylor, Matthew Traylor, Caroline Traylor, Lucas Traylor and Rebecca Traylor; brother Dwight and wife Sondra Wilcox; sister-in-law Eva Wilcox; brother-in-law Don Williams; Uncle V. H. Turner and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Faith Baptist Church, 111 West Camp Wisdom Road, Duncanville, TX.
Services to follow immediately after at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Interment at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Mount Carmel Cemetary in Wolfe City, TX.
