Bess M. Singleton Swinson age 89 of Wolfe City, Texas died on March 10, 2012 at Hunt Regional Medical Center-Greenville. She was born on March 5, 1923 in the White Rock Community in Hunt County to Iola Roberts Singleton and Turner Wilson Singleton. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 62 years, Jack William Swinson. They married on June 14, 1947 in Sulphur Springs. Mrs. Swinson was a retired seamstress and a homemaker for many and a member of the West Main Church of Christ in Wolfe City. She is survived by two daughters; Gail White and husband Robert of Celeste and Jackie Samples and husband Montie of Wolfe City, four grandchildren Tracie Holland, Jason White, Julie Wright, and Amanda Samples, seven great-grandchildren Samanatha Holland, Evelyn Holland, Jack Holland III, Justin White, Shane White, Gary Rutter, and Jentry Reese Wright and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be help at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at West Main Church of Christ in Wolfe City with Eddie Singleton officiating. Interment will follow at Tidwell Cemetery with Jason White, Kendal Wright, James Swinson, Junior Eudy, Charles Middlebrooks and Van Savage service as pallbearers. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and nine brothers and sisters.
