January 27, 1933 –  July 15, 2011 Billie Jo Harper, 78, of Greenville died July 15, 2011, at Legend Health Care of Greenville following a six-month illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Cathy Miles of Greenville officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with pallbearers Steve Miles, Randy Watson, D’Angelo Watson and Matthew Huckabee.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Born Jan. 27, 1933, in Prescott, Ark., she was the daughter of Jim and Zettie Stephens Gill.

A widow, she was a waitress and cook. Mrs. Harper was a Baptist.

Surviving are three daughters, Cathy Miles of Greenville and Vickie Rogers and Sherry Campbell, both of Tyler, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Richard Keith Watson; a brother, Herschel Gill; daughter Karla Little; a sister, Polly Boyd; grandson Brandon Watson and her parents.
