Chad Christopher Kaenakoa “Koa” Stark Jr., age 32, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home. He was born July 22, 1989, in Maui, Hawaii to Shannen Pedro Stark and Chad Stark Sr.
Koa graduated from Leander High School in Leander, Texas. He married Samantha JoAnne Jones in Austin on April 13, 2012. He and his wife opened and operated the Blanca Veils custom wedding veil shop in Wolfe City to make many other brides happy. When he and Samantha were not at the veil shop, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing and watching the UT Longhorns play.
Koa is survived by his wife and her family, parents Tommy and Becky Jones, brother TJ Jones and wife Randi, sister Rachel Jones Shreves and husband Rusty, grandmother Edna “Granna” Perry, close friend Shawn Pipkin and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews all of Wolfe City.
He is also survived by his brother Caden Stark of San Marcos, Texas. Grandfather Larry Botelho Sr. of Hawaii, Grandparents Stan and Daryle Williams of LaGrande Oregon, Bill and Judy Stark of Hermiston Oregon. Uncles Justin Stark, Travis Stark also of Hermiston. Great Aunt Dana Frison of LaGrande Oregon and Great Uncle Mark and Kathleen Van Wagoner of Pendelton, Oregon. Along with several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends in Hawaii, California, Oregon and Austin.
The funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City officiated by Bro. Larry Morris. Visitation will be the evening before from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Owens. Internment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Pallbearers will be Shawn Pipkin, TJ Jones, Dustin Jones, Valton Ticer, Dale Sumrow, and Carl Lamm. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Shreves, Sam Perry, and Tommy Jones
