Hazel Loretta McDonald, age 92, of Balch Springs, TX passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Lexington Medical Lodge in Farmersville, TX She was born to Jessie Walter Lee and Estie Hadden Davidson on November 20, 1929 in Lake Creek, Texas.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, at 1:00 P. M. with Bro. Rick Nichols officiating. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon at the Owens Funeral Home Chapel.
Loretta married Norman Rufus McDonald on December 1, 1947 in Rockwall. She was a member of the Wildwood Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas.
Loretta attended school in Wolfe City but later she earned her GED. She worked and retired from Western Electric/AT&T after 18 years. She was involved in a lot of extra activities which included crocheting, sewing, quilting, carpentry, ceramics, jewelry making, she took art classes at Eastfield College; oil painting, dog grooming and flower arrangement and she was a very good cook.
Loretta is survived by 5 children, Sandra McDonald, Douglas McDonald and wife Debbie, Rodger McDonald, Gerald McDonald and wife Kim, and Glynda Robertson and husband Devin and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her ex-husband, parents, and ten of her eleven siblings. Daughter-in-Law Linda McDonald, grandchildren Randall McDonald and Tammy McDonald and one great-grandchild Vincent Bell.
I cleaned her house and she was so sweet and talk about her kids and I love her as family
