October 22, 1952 –  April 7, 2011 Dan Owens of Mansfield died April 7, 2011, in Fort Worth. Services are at 10 a.m. today at the Church of Christ in Ladonia with Robert Milton officiating. Burial will be in Arledge Cemetery in Bonham under the direction of R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
Son of Homer Clyde and Vera Stailey Owens, he was born Oct. 22, 1952, in Ladonia. On June 16, 1952, he married Linda McCraw; she preceded him in death. He worked in soil science and was a member of the Church of Christ in Ladonia.

Surviving are two daughters, Emily Owens Trice and husband Jason of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Alice Owens Norwood and husband Clint of Honey Grove; one son, Daniel Owens and wife Amy of Commerce; four grandchildren and a sister, Wanda Brookshire and husband Herbert of Cooper.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Alice Clayton.
