Jimmy George, age 84, passed away June 30, 2024, at Legend Health Care in Greenville.  He was born to Grover and Annie Bell Wilkerson George, August 25. 1939, in Alamo, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Friday evening, July 5, 2024, at Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  The funeral will be conducted by Bro. Charles Lowrey 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Luke George, Colton George, Vince Patterson, Paul Freese, Beau Bennett and Chaffin Andrews.

Jimmy worked in the construction industry and enjoyed outdoor activities.  He served honorably in the National Guard from 1964 through 1970.

Jimmy married Robbie Epperson June 29, 1969, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, son Michael George and wife Lori, daughter Sherry Pool, grandchildren: Luke George, Colton George, David Pool, Loretta Gunn.  He is also survived by great-grandchildren: CayLee Harrison, Jay Harrison and Ian Pool, brother Roy George brothers and sisters in-law: Steve Epperson and wife Paulette, Brenda Stewart, and Ruffie Younger and husband Don.  He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Judy Rigsby, Bobby George, Doris Hollenshead, Ora Lean Lee, and James George.
