August 14, 1926 –  January 23, 2016 Shipp,
Jo Shipp of Dallas passed away into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 23, 2016. She was born on August 14, 1926 in Fairlie, Texas in Hunt County to Arthur and Ada Turner. Following graduation from Commerce High School in 1941, she moved to Dallas and completed business school, preparing her for a 40-year career in the insurance industry.

Jo was married to Kenneth Frasier until his death in 1985. In 1991, she married Robert Shipp, who preceded her in death in 1996.

Jo lived a rich and full life, and enjoyed time spent with friends and family. She was actively involved in her church, Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, and the Friendship Sunday School class. She also was quite active in AARP. She particularly enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, crafts, music, and dancing at the Garland Senior Center.

Jo is survived by nephew Mike Frasier and wife Paula of Cedar Hill, nieces Virginia Frasier Billings of Tyler and Jan Frasier Strong and husband Doug of Ovilla, and numerous cousins. Jo also leaves behind her cat “Tie-Tie”.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11:00A.M. at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church 9810 LaPrada Drive Dallas, Texas 75228 with Bro. Tracy Dophied officiating.

Graveside service will follow at 2:30 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.
