July 31, 1929 –  July 6, 2015 Parsons,
Joe Morris Parsons, Sr., 85, of Wolfe City passed away Monday, July 6 in Dallas Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Texas. Mr. Parsons was born on July 31, 1929 in the Hogeye Community near Wolfe City to Joe Hiram Parsons and Jimmie Faye Sumner Parsons. He married Nancy Watson on May 23, 1953 in Wolfe City. Mr. Parsons served in the U.S. Army and then retired from Yellow Freight Company.

Survivors are his wife of Wolfe City, One Daughter; Robin Boggs and husband Jerry of Emory, One son Gregg Parsons of Greenville, 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, a brother Robert Wayne Parsons
and wife Martha of Greenville and a sister Lola Faye Tucker of Nashville, Ark. Along with several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe
M. Parsons, Jr. a Brother, Billy James Parsons and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. conducted by Dr. Chet Haney. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with a flag presentation by the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Jermy Jackson, Cody Jackson, Britt Watson, Neal Watson, Johnny Watson and Jon-Gregory Watson honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Boggs and Stacy Boggs.
