John “Frank” Tisdale, III, 70, passed away February 7, 2013, at his home in Wolfe City, Texas. Frank was a long time resident of El Paso before moving to Wolfe City to be close to his son, daughter and grandchildren, after the death of his beloved wife, Carol. Frank attended the University of Alabama and UTEP, served in the US Marines, loved spending time with his grandsons. He raced stock cars at El Paso Speedway Park and bred and raced New Mexico thoroughbreds. He could only see the silver lining, was always quick with a smile and telling stories, some true. He was generous to a fault and loved family. During his years in El Paso, Frank was President of Mortgage Investment Company, on the Board of Directors of Montwood National Bank, President of Vista Hills Country Club, Vice President of Tony Lama Boot Company. He owned and ran John Wesley Hardin Boots before selling it. Frank is survived by his son John Tisdale, John?s wife Lisa and Frank?s grandchildren Zack, Josh and Jarrett of McKinney. His daughter Lori Tisdale lives in the Dallas area. Frank?s mother Eva Maude Tisdale lives in El Paso. Frank?s sister Linda Hendrix and husband Roy live in Las Cruces. His brother Richard Tisdale and wife Rita live in El Paso. He will be missed dearly by his nephews and nieces Erin Tisdale and Bryan Tisdale, Don Hendrix and wife Amanda, their three children Tye, Jarrod and Alyssa, Ron Hendrix and wife Francine and their children Justin and Madelyn.
