Joseph Frances Walker passed away on a Sunday, his favorite day of the week; he had just celebrated his 78th birthday.
He was born to Joseph Frances Walker, Sr. and Jeanette (Thill) Walker in Dubuque, Iowa where he graduated high school and attended college before marrying his wife Carol Ann Hall and moving out west to start a family; he also served in the Army Reserves until 1969.
Joseph Walker retired after nearly thirty years of service with the K-Mart Corporation as a Divisional Regional Manager.
Once out of the corporate environment, he worked his way into a life of faithful service as a parishioner of St. William’s Catholic Church. He also became a Knight of the highest order with the Knights of Columbus where he placed his efforts in volunteering and fundraising.
Joe was: Charitable. Kind. Giving. Religious. Loving. He and his wife were married for fifty years. He remained a devout Catholic encouraging forgiveness and handing out St. Faustina Diaries to those who would take them.
He left peacefully from this physical world, travelled to the other side of the universe, and joins the ones who went before him to live in bliss and joy —the eternal light that exists outside of this reality.
Joe is survived by his sister Mary Tully and husband Michael, daughter Jackie Mull, Son Joseph Walker and wife Aryn, and grandchildren Kendyl and Grace Mull. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sarah Walker, wife Carol Ann (Hall) Walker, and sister Martha Walker Allen.
Snow falls cold and white
Beneath the leafless forest
As he is called home.
