Kenneth L. Lewis of Fairlie, Texas passed away September 14, 2015. He was born on February 23, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Ben and Ruby Lewis. He married the love of his life on December 30, 1977 in Garland. He had three children James Wrisner, Anthony Lewis, and Shannon Lewis.
Mr. Lewis proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy until retiring in 1975. Mr. Lewis was a member of Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Bobbie Lewis, daughter Shannon Lewis of Plano, sister Betty Sue Brown and husband Larry of Hondo, Texas. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Kashion Lewis of Garland, Kasey Wrisner and wife Cera of Wolfe City, Kaylon Wrisner of Sherman great-grandchild Mali Lewis, Isaac Bolden, Baylee and Graycee Wrisner. He is also survived by his niece Suzi McCarty and husband Steve as well as a God-daughter Shelbi Feil of Palestine.
Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his sons James and Anthony as well as both his parents
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie at 10:00 A.M. with Brother Oliver Mowat and Charles Lowrey officiating. Pallbearers are Danny Speight, Justin VanHosier, Colten Erwin, Joseph Feil, Roberto Galvan, and Steve Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Herald Peterson and Jerry Parker. Graveside Military Honors will be provided by US Navy, Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard, and the Patriot Guard Rides.
