March 16, 1956 –  May 25, 2011 Leslie Oliver Perry, born Jan. 17, 1938, in Lewisville Landing, N.Y., to George Henry and Doris Helena Holms Perry, passed away May 25, 2011, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
He married Edna Jean Wright on March 16, 1956, in Durant, Okla.

Mr. Perry retired in 2000 after 43 years as a heavy equipment operator working in several cities throughout Texas building water and sewer plants.

He spent his free time at Carlos’ garage, doing maintenance and errands for Kidtopia Daycare and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was the family’s rock and foundation, loved very much and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Sam Perry and wife Connie, Sheri Ticer and husband Valton, Becky Jones and husband Tommy, all of Wolfe City, and Cathy Rebish and husband Keith of Montana; grandchildren, Leslie Boehk and husband Matt, Jason Ticer and wife Michelle, T.J. Jones and wife Randi, Rachel and Samantha Jones, Staci Perry, and Jake and Jett Rebish; great-grandchildren Savannah, Sabrina and Sebastian Boehk, Noah Jones and Candace Powers; two brothers, Harlow Perry of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and Allen Perry and wife Debbie of Euless; two sisters, Lucy Salton and husband Robert of Ogdensburg, N.Y., and Ileen Arquitt of Winthrop, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lloyd Perry; seven sisters, Wanda Sequin, Beulah Fields, Eunice Fielding, Francis Ashley, Patricia, Florence and Bettylou Perry, all formerly of New York; and two great-grandsons, Grayson and Parker Jones of Wolfe City.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Bro. Monte Weaver, Bro. Jim Gatliff and Bro. Dwight Lowrie officiating.

Pallbearers are Carl Lamm, Steven Wright, Mark Wright, John Wilkinson, Carlos Ugalde and Joel Thornton. Honorary pallbearers are David Collister, Dale Sumrow, Fred Sumrow and Gene Sumrow
