Letha Arvalene Moore Brown, 83, of Wolfe City passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at Legends Nursing Center of Greenville, Texas. Mrs. Brown was born on March 12, 1936 in Dixie, Texas to Sterling Moore and Alline Tomberlain Moore.

She married Thomas Ray Brown on Nov. 24, 1955 in Lindale, Texas. Mrs. Brown was the distributor for the Herald-Banner and Dallas Morning News for the Wolfe City Area for over 20 years. She also received recognition from the Dallas Morning News and Lindale School district for having perfect attendance for all 12 years of attending school in Lindale, Texas.

She is survived by one son; Tommy Brown and wife Lorie of Metairie, La. three daughters; Sharon Upshaw of Wolfe City, Tammie Cagle of Grand Saline and Tonia Malone and husband Ronald of Wolfe City; sister Arlene Moore Hall and husband Ross of Lindale, Texas; brother-in-law Bill Brown; sisters-in-law Martha Hembest and Dorthy Neihouse and several nieces and nephews along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5 in the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City conducted by Bro. Tim Hearn. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be Sunday evening at the R. W. Owens Funeral Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Clint Dishman, Tray Brown III, Matthew Cagle, Kristopher Malone, Matt Brown, Jeremy Cagle and Gage Upshaw.
