September 1, 1908 – January 6, 2011 Lucy Nora Cline, 102, of Wolfe City died Jan. 6, 2011, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Bros. Charles Wren and Stephen Medford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born Sept. 1, 1908, in rural northern Hunt County, she was the daughter of Charlie Houston and Clarcy Jane Latham Taylor. She was married to R.L. Cline on Dec. 26, 1937, in Durant, Okla. She was a certified nurse’s aide and was a member of the Church of Christ in Leonard.
Surviving are her sister, Margie Montgomery of Dallas,; a daughter, Billie Piper of Wolfe City; daughter-in-law Pat Cline of Lewisville; grandchildren Connie Glascock, Rae Ann Rogers, Shelly Cooper, Sheri Burnett and David Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Raymond T. Cline; grandsons Gregory P. Piper and Jimmy L. Piper; five brothers and six sisters
