Lula Mae Painter Hester, 76, of  Oxford, Mississippi and former Wolfe City, Tx. resident passed away Friday, May 31 at her residence.  Mrs. Hester was born on Dec. 3, 1942 in Sulphur Springs, Tx. to Alvin Jackson Dillon and Doris Bradford Dillon.  She Married Fred Painter who preceded her in death and later married Jimmy Hester.

Her Children expressed their love for her by saying, “Our mother Lula Mae Hester, one of the greatest Moms that ever Lived and Loved on this Earth, has been taken away from us to be with our Father in Heaven.  Lula Mae Painter has also been reunited with Fred Painter and will be laid to rest next to him at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.

Lula was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by husband, Jimmy Ray Hester, two children, Alan Wade Painter and Anita Sue Bryant, and two stepsons, James Ray Hester and Rickey Lee Hester.

She has 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held in the R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m. with Pat Painter officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Tx.
