Patricia Ann (McDonald) Flud passed away peacefully at her home in Wolfe City while surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born in Dallas on December 21, 1947, to parents William Andrew and Mary Alliene (Minix) McDonald.
In 1966, Patti graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas. After graduation, she continued her education at Texas Woman’s University while working at Braniff Airlines until joining the family business, Andy’s Mill & Cabinet Company.
She married Jerry Don Flud on August 19, 1973, on her family’s farm in Wolfe City. Patti and Jerry raised their family in Wolfe City where they were active members in the community and faithful members of the Church of Christ. Patti was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.
Patti is survived by her two children, daughter Heather Sumrow and husband Steve, son Ryan Flud and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Raegan Sumrow, Austin Flud, Dakota Flud and wife MadieAnn, Hudson Flud; two great-grandsons, Cutter and Easton; two siblings, Dan McDonald and Mike McDonald and wife Betty. Patti is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patti is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, her Nanny and Papa, Velma and Roy Minix, and her two brothers, Dave and Jim McDonald.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Bro. Danny Myrick officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon McDonald, Dakota Flud, Steve Sumrow, Tyler Massey, Carl Lamm, and Howard Morsberger.
