Shelley,

Ruth Yvetta Shelley age 91 of Ava, Missouri, formally of Wolfe City, Texas died on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava. She was born on September 20, 1922 in Wolfe City to Clarence C. and Hassie Taylor Andrews.

Mrs. Shelley was a member of the First Baptist of Wolfe City. She retired after 22 years as a Sales Clerk from Broadway Department Stores. At the age of 17 she moved to California and in 1940 she married John H. Shelley.  

Ruth is survived her daughter Judy Russell and husband Eldon of Dora, Missouri, granddaughter Brenda Frealy and husband Glenn of Springfield, MO, great-granddaughters Jennifer Waltz and Amanda Frealy.

Mrs. Shelley is preceded in death by her husband John H. Shelley, daughter Patricia Ann Shelley, and brother Quantrel Andrews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Steven Medford officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
