August 17, 1926 –  March 20, 2017 Allie Ray Lumpkin, age 90, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home. He was born to L. E. and Mamie Paul Lumpkin August 17, 1926 in rural Van Zandt County. He married Winnie Faye Daniel January 18, 1957. He worked at Ennis Tag as a wiring department foreman and as a co-manager of Green Acres and Golden West Apartments.
He is survived by his son Bradley Lumpkin and wife Kathleen and a grandson Hagen Lumpkin.

Allie Ray was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Wolfe City. Mr. Lumpkin was a Life Member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge 505 in Wolfe City. He served many officer positions in the Lodge and received the Golden Trowel acAward in 1992, the highest award given to an individual member of the lodge. Mr. Lumpkin was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean Conflict.

The graveside service will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 10:00 A. M. Thursday March 23, 2017 to be officiated by Bro. Ken Ballard.
Visitation will be at R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
