December 8, 1944 –  January 23, 2015 Betty Jean Kelley, former Commerce resident, passed away Friday, Jan. 23rd at the Christian Care Center of Mesquite. Ms. Kelley was born on Dec. 8, 1944 in Levelland, Tx. to Troy J. Kelley and Laura Malone Kelley. Ms. Kelley was retired from the retail business.Survivors are 2-sisters; Joyce Perry of Longview, Tx. and Janice Beckham & husband Larry of Mesquite. One brother, Jack Kelley & Judi Metts of Alba, Tx. Aunts; Mattie Smithey of Wolfe City and Fern Bench and Husband Roy. Along with one Uncle Travis Kelley of Morton, Tx., 2-nephews and 2-nieces with several great nieces and nephews. Ms. Kelley was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 26th in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City at 2:00 P.M. with visitation being from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Danny Myrick will officiate the service.
