Betty B. Sanders Denney age 89 resident of Wolfe City, Texas passed away peacefully while surrounded by family and friends in Greenville, Texas on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Betty was member of the House of Prayer in Greenville for many years.

She was born Sunday, September 25, 1927 to Eddie Clifton Sanders and Hermoine Irene Kellum Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter Rita Denney Pickett and husband Wesley, son John Robert Denney and wife Vicki, grandchildren; Wesley Joel Picket II, Jeremy Robert Denney, Joshua Robert Denney, and wife Ashton; four great-grandchildren, Julia Nicole Pickett, Jaxon Robert Denney, Avery Piper Denney, and Alexa Rae Denney, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Denney on May 17, 2004 after sixty years of marriage. Also, her parents, her siblings; Peggy Wynell Woodruff, E. C. Sanders, Billy K. Sanders, and Faye Sanders Holt; great-grandson, Wesley Joel Pickett, III, two nephews; James Don Woodruff and wife Barbara and Joe Douglas Sanders.

Services will be private, by invitation only Saturday, February 4, 2017at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Memorial may be made to American Stroke Association, Samaritan’s Purse or Alzheimer’s Association.
