Billy B. “Uncle Bill” Reneau, of Wolfe City, Tx., passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 in Baylor – Scott & White of Carrollton. Mr. Reneau was born on Feb. 2, 1927 In Caddo Mills, Tx. To Benton G. Reneau and Willie Surratt Reneau. He married Lila Mae Owens on June 5, 1947 in the R. W. Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Bill worked as a sales person for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company for over 40 years and worked as an funeral director assistant for R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Mr. Reneau was a long time member of the Wake Village Lions Club serving as president and District Chairman; he was a long time member of the Jernigan- Turner Post 16 America Legion in Wolfe City for many years. Bill was a charter member of Webb Hill Country Club, an avid golfer and loved to play at Webb Hill C.C in Wolfe City, and Northridge Country Club in Texarkana.
Survivors are a brother, B. G. Reneau of Ferris, Tx., Brother-in-law Bobby Owens & wife Millo of Wolfe City and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 2-brothers; Weldon Reneau and Dwight Reneau, two sisters; Wilma Graham and Mackie Lee Maples.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City conducted by Bro. Tim Hearn, with visitation on Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7: P.M. at R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
