Billy Bob Spradlin, age 78, passed away at his home in Blue Ridge, March 15, 2021 while surrounded by his family.  He was born April 27, 1942 to Jack and Mildred DeMose Spradlin at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.

His family moved to Plano when he was five years old and stayed there until he was in the eighth grade, when they moved to Richardson where he played football and baseball.  He graduated from Richardson High School in 1960, and then attended Ranger Junior College for one year.

Billy Bob was employed at Hans-Johnson for nearly 50 years.  He travelled the state of Texas selling Bicycles and Locks for years, then transferred to an office job.  He loved his job, worked with great people including many friends.  He married Ann Minetrea February 22, 2964, whom he spent 56 wonderful years with.

He is survived by his wife, daughters Terri Crossland and husband David, and Jodi Creed and husband Michael.  He is also survived by his granddaughters: Tiffany Crossland a, Reagan Creed, and Madison Creed, grandson Cameron Creed, nephews Kent Barnes and wife Penny, and Keith Barnes, nieces: Karen Caldwell and husband George and Debbie West, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by, brother James Spradlin and sister Nancy Barnes

The graveside service will be conducted by Kent Barnes at Blue Ridge Cemetery, 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 18, 2021.  Please come by Owens Funeral Home to sign the book Wednesday and Thursday morning.  Pallbearers will be David Crossland, Michael Creed, John Worley, and Cameron Creed.
