January 2, 1932 –  July 11, 2010 STANFIELD
Billy Carroll Stanfield, Sr., 78, of Texarkana, died Sunday July 11, 2010 in a local hospital. He was born in Kaufman on January 2, 1932 to Cecil and Maureen Legow Stanfield. He married Wilma Stanline Powell on August 18, 1962 in Durant Oklahoma. He was retired owner and CEO of ECON Elevator Co. of Texarkana,. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dean Stanfield, his wife, Stanline and his son Billy C. Stanfield, Jr. Mr. Stanfield served in the U. S. Air Force and received an honorable discharge in July 1954 along with a good conduct medal. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Carlile of Denison and Pamela Wilcox of Italy. Grandchildren include Chad and Amanda Carlile, Adam Carlile, Matthew Carlile, Collin Carlile, Erika and Barry Winkle, Daniel and Tassie Richard, Lindsey Stanfield, Nicole Stanfield and Joshua Stanfield. Also 7 great grandchildren and a number of other family and friends. Visitation for Mr. Stanfield will be held in Wolfe City at Owens Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Owens Chapel. Burial will follow at Gober Cemetery in Gober, Tx.
