Billy Don Malone age 56 passed away peacefully at his home in Ladonia, Texas on Saturday, March 26, 2016 after a courage’s battle with liver cancer. He was born on August 26, 1959 in Greenville, Texas to Gary Don and Thelma L. Eudy Malone. He married Cynthia Lynn Sloan on August 25, 2001 in Pecan Gap.

Standing at 6’4” Billy Don or simply Bill was a big man with a bigger heart. Billy Don was known for his love of family, friends and fishing, he was of the Baptist Faith and graduated from Pottsboro High School. He spent many years working as a heavy equipment operator and worked construction for many years.

Billy Don is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Wife Cindy Malone, three sons Billy Don Malone Jr. and wife Courtney of Reno, Gary James Malone and wife Allison of Sugarland, Wesley Joe Malone and wife Danica of Paris, eight grandchildren Cydnie, Iree, Criss, Ely, Lily, Clementine, Cassius and Jace, his father Gary Don Malone of Wolfe City, three sisters Ravonda Joyce Malone of Riverview, FL, Michelle Renee Carlton and husband Larry of Mt. View, AR, Gwendolyn Denise Franks and husband Jimmy Dean of Marcella, AR, brother David Glenn Malone and wife of Danielle of Guralee, IL. His extended family; second mother Pat Rhyne; sister Angela Flanagan, brothers Bobby, John, and Kelly Flanagan all of Pottosboro.

He is preceded in death by his mother and both sets of grandparents.

Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Wolfe City, Texas. A graveside service will be follow at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas. Officiating will be Mr. Malone’s son Gary James Malone; pallbearers will be Dustin Malone, Ronald Malone, Mark Malone, Allan Malone, Chad Malone, Gaylen Swinson and Cole Swinson.
