September 21, 1930 –  April 29, 2012 Billy K. Sanders of Wolfe City died April 29, 2012, at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville following a lengthy illness. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Michael White, Mr. Sanders’ brother-in-law, officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Phil Tanner, Joel McKay, Don Burns, Kevin Horton,Tim Dishman, Keith Duncan, Christopher Creed, Larry Horton and Ronald Monroe. Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Williams, Hal Jobe, Bobby Brown, Ernie Sellers,Tony Hart, Calvin Rhodes, Keith Herron, Mike Williams and Ricky Williams.

He was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Ladonia to Eddie Clifton and Irene Hermoine Kellum Sanders. He married Lena May White on Aug. 25, 1951 in Wolfe City. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Sanders retired as a pressman for Ennis-Texas Tag and Henington Publishing Co.

Survivors are his wife of Wolfe City; two sons, Stevie Sanders and wife Tina and Kelly Sanders and special friend Marcia White, all of Wolfe City; five grandchildren, Trina Coldiron, Carlos Sanders, Marty Sanders, Kayla Sanders, and Kyla Sanders; six great-grandchildren, Jaci Coldiron, Kaci Coldiron, Madison Sanders, Marley Sanders, Kaitlyn Sanders and Kelli Sanders; two sisters, Betty Denny of Wolfe City and Faye Crisp of Grand Prairie; and his beloved dog, Jody.
