August 8, 1931 –  January 2, 2012 Billy Paul Butler of Wolfe City Texas died on January 2, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was born August 11, 1931 in Wolfe City; he was the son of Joe Nathan and Effie Mae Johnson Butler. He married Betty Lou Cheeks on January 18, 1958 in Durant Oklahoma. Mr. Butler served in the US Army and was punch press operator at Texas Tag. Surviving are one son, Joe Paul Butler and wife Tanya of Wolfe City, one daughter, Paula Hill and husband Roy of Bonham; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a sister, Melba Jo Roberts of Amarillo.a funeral service was held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas. Interment took place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas with Pastor John Chism officiating and Danny Ray Clark Timothy King Joe King Rollin Smith Matt Salinas and Lanny Johnson serving as Pallbearers.
