Billy Ray Prince age 83 of Grandbury, Texas died on January 15, 2013 at Community Hospice of Texas in Burleson, Texas. He was born in the White Rock Community near Wolfe City, Texas on July 31, 1929 to Jessie Edward Prince and Mattie Starkie Prince. He married Betty Jane Herron on January 22, 1957 in Greenville Texas. Mr. Prince served in the United States Army during the Korean Wars and earned the rank of Sargent. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two son Mark Prince and wife Dianna of Joshua, Texas and Mike Prince of Granburry, Texas, daughter Marla Workman and husband Joe of Okemah, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren Marsha Ford of Godley, Texas, Bryan Prince of Joshua, Texas, Brandy Nowak of Godley, Ashley Ketchum, April Workman, Amber Workman, and Brandon Workman all of Oklahoma, and Hailey Prince of West Virginia, 10 great grandchildren, one sister Marie Brown of Sulphur Springs, Texas, sister-in-law Peggy Nelson of Wolfe City, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas with Brother Jim Gatliff and Mark Prince officiating. Pallbearers will be Mr. Princes grandsons and great grandsons; Bryan, Carl, Brandon, Cody and Nicholas

Visitation will held from 12:00 P.M. till 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas
