Charles Wesley Casada, born on June 22, 1950, in Sherman, Texas, passed away on September 1, 2023 with his wife and three children by his side.

On June 25, 1971, he married the love of his life, Deborah Kay Price, in Savoy, Texas. Their union was blessed with three children: Jana Denise Barrett, Jason Mark Casada, and Judith Kay Bowden. He cherished his role as a father and later as a grandfather to Austin Scott Casada, Nathan Bradley Barrett, Travis Ray Barrett, Lyla Grace Bowden, Andrew Daniel Bowden, and Jack Reid Bowden and a father-in-law to Brad Barrett and Daniel Bowden.

Charles graduated from Savoy High School in 1968 and continued his education at Texas A&M University, earning a BS Degree in Agriculture Education in 1972. His dedication to learning led him to obtain an MEd in Vocational Education from Sam Houston State University in 1978.

Charles is survived by his sister, Carole Sue Jarvis and husband Jim. Along with brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Becky and Roy Lee Thomas, Tony & Carolyn Price, Pam and Dan Fitzgerald. He also leaves behind a legacy in his many nieces, nephews, cousins, ag science students and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Etta Sue Casada and his in-laws David and Betty Price.

Charles dedicated 34 years of his life to the field of education as an Agriculture Science Teacher. His impact was felt in several schools, including Axtell Rural HS, Scurry-Rosser HS, S&S HS, Farmersville HS, and Plano Jasper HS. He found immense joy in his roles as an Agriculture Science Teacher and later in his post-retirement position at Animal Care Technologies. He also loved his Aggies, despite them being stressful to watch at times.

He was a member of the Farmersville First Baptist Church and a member of NAAE (National Association of Agricultural Educators).

Charles Wesley Casada will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to education, his love for family, and his commitment to serving his community. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
