November 3, 1920 – January 12, 2015 Crumrine,
Charlotte L. Crumrine of Wolfe City, Texas, formerly of Barrington, Illinois and Ft. Myers Florida passed away on January 12, 2015 at the age of 94. She was born on November 3, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Ruben and Pearl Adams.
She moved to Barrington at the age of 3. She was a lifelong member of Salem Church and a member of the Joy Class. In 1938 she graduated from the Barrington school district. Charlotte married Roy A. Crumrine on August 4, 1942 in Olympia, Washington. When Roy returned from World War II in 1945, they settled in Barrington raising 6 children. She was a troop leader in the Girl Scouts of America, and the Boy Scouts of America, and active in the VFW Auxiliary. Charlotte worked as a bookkeeper for Lipofskys Department Stores for 16 years until her retirement in 1979.
She is survive by her children Margaret White and her Husband Robert, Robert Crumrine and wife Corinne, James Crumrine and wife Naty, Suzanne Peters and husband Christopher, Patricia Willer and husband Allen, and John Crumrine and Karen Horkitz, 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clarence (Charlie) Adams, and her loving husband of 59 years Roy A. Crumrine.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:30 at the First United Methodist Church Wolfe City.
Interment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington, Illinois with Brian Crumrine, Bill White, Roy A Crumrine III, Noah Crumrine, Jon Crumrine, Tod Sadorf, Mathew White, Benjamin Sadorf, and Ryan Sadorf serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas.
