Charlsie Mason Teel Gardner, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce. She was born on August 20, 1931 in Farmersville, Texas to Arthur Lawrence and Mattie Cora Younce Mason. Charlsie married Charles Gardner on December 1, 1977 in Wolfe City, Texas
Charlsie, was a lifelong member of West Main Church of Christ. She spent over 40 years teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school. A proud Christian woman, living her life by example and teaching others, about Christ. Charlsie was a stay at home mom till her children started school. Then she started working at Ennis Tag and retired after 27 years in the customer service department. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always making sure that her family knew that they were greatly loved by her, never leaving any doubt of her commitment and love to each and every one of them.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Charles Gardner, four daughters; Carolyn Teel-Reiber and husband Gary of Commerce, Betty Teel-Malone and husband Billy of Wolfe City, Donna Teel-Nicholson and husband Chip of Sulphur Springs, Rita Teel-Nerren and husband Danny of Flower Mound. Grandchildren; Gary Fulton Reiber and Kathy Matthews of Commerce, Megan Reiber Donaldson and husband Zech of Rockport, Brandy Malone Webb and husband Nick of Wolfe City, Austin Nerren and wife Margo of Minot, North Dakota, and Kaitlyn Nerren of Flower Mound. Great-grandchildren; Tori and Macy Reiber, Preston and Brooklyn Matthews of Commerce, Kaden Malone, Trey Jones, Jesse Webb of Wolfe City, Hailey Webb of Mesquite, and Lyla Donaldson of Rockport, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Ethel Pauline Mason Copp, brothers Willard and Dorman Mason.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with David Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Gary Reiber, Billy Malone, Chip Nicholson, Danny Nerren, Gary Fulton Reiber, and Nick Webb serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandy Malone Webb, Megan Reiber Donaldson, Austin Nerren, Kaitlyn Nerren, Kaden Malone, Trey Jones, Jesse Webb, Tori Reiber, Macy Reiber, Preston Matthews, and Brooklyn Matthews.
