Clinton Clifford Call age 76 of Ladonia, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Medical Center of Plano. He was born on August 25, 1939 in Munday, Texas to Calvin and Helen Lucretia Neece Call. He married Helen Elizabeth Brown in Lubbock, Texas on June 1, 1956.
Clifford was good with his hands and could fix anything! At age 15 he began working on big trucks. He was one of the first mechanics to be factory trained on automatic transmissions. He taught at Lincoln Tech, was the equipment manager for the city of Ft. Worth and retired from Schneider Trucking.
He is survived by his six children Vicki Call, Veronica Call and Lee Snyder, Vivian Green and husband David, Russell Call and wife Ann, Randy Call and wife Kathy, and Robert Call and wife Anna, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three siblings Aretia Cannon, Daryl Call and Bobby Call.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Helen Call in 2013.
Funeral services will be held at R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 with his son-in-law David Green officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Ladonia with Mr. Calls grandsons and friend serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.
