Daniel Wayne Woodruff age 60 of Celeste, Texas passed on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his home. He was born on April 30, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Charles Reid and Mary Lee Lewis Woodruff.

Daniel was of the Baptist Faith and a Corrections Officer for 11 years, most recently working in Bonham at the Choice Moore Unit. He also served in the United States Navy with the Seabees.

He is survived by his two children; Daniel Guy Woodruff of Comanche, Whitney Ryals of Cooper, three grandchildren; Lillie Woodruff, Nichols Woodruff, and Aiden Cootes, two siblings; Vickie Vinson and husband David of Leonard, and James Glenn Woodruff and wife Diana of Rockwall and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both his parents.

Visitation will be held at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 6:00 till 8:00P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the funeral home and interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Daniel Woodruff, Jimmy Woodruff, Clay Pyle, Chris Pyle, Alfie King and Shane Robinson serving as pallbearers.
