August 12, 1938 –  November 25, 2014 Bynum,
Dewey Wayne Bynum age 76 of South Sulphur passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 with his loving family at his side. He was born on August 12, 1938 in Lone Oak, Texas to Clarence and Lillie Jacobs Bynum. He married Linda Foster on November 23, 1961 in Wolfe City, Texas.

Dewey was a member of Aberfoyle Baptist Church and retired after 27 years as the manager of several area Woody’s Convenience Stores. Dewey served in the United State Army from 1961 -1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In his leisure time he enjoyed mowing his yard and searching for treasures with his metal detector and friend Kenneth Lamm.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Linda Bynum, daughters Lisa Risley and husband Weston and Julie Cupp and husband Kelly, five grandchildren Michael, Adam, and Laura Risley and Ali and Shelbi Cupp, one sister Sheila Dickens and husband Ronnie and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 a R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 29, 2014 with Brother Kerry Meador and Brother Dale Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with David Dawson, Brad Rex, Roger Humphries, Charles Humphries, Landon Davidson, and Chris Moore serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Lamm and Jackie Isham. Military honors will be provided by the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard.
