November 3, 1917 –  May 5, 2014 Dora Jewell Smithey Caldwell

Dora Jewell Smithey Caldwell, born November 3, 1917, to Fieldon Lucas and Cora Mabel Goodwin Smithey in Turkey Creek Community, Hunt County. She married Tom Ray Caldwell on October 31, 1933.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Maylene Eldridge and husband Billy of Wolfe City, Molly Jobe and husband Jimmy of Wolfe City, 4 sons: Tommy “Tuck” Caldwell of Wolfe City, Roy Caldwell and Wife Kay of Wolfe City, Paul Caldwell of Wolfe City, and Frank Caldwell and wife Darlene of Sulphur Springs. 2 sisters: Sue McAdams or Arlington and Ardina Butler of Wolfe City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers: Boyd, Roy, William, Fielding Jr. and Billy Smithey, 3 sisters: Helen Bush, Wilma Livingston and Juanell Gibson.
Dora was a member of West Main Church of Christ in Wolfe City and a homemaker and mother.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Owens Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Owens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City.
