Doris Ann McDaniel was born July 23, 1936, to Charlie and Fannie Mae Chambers Dunmon in Powderly, Texas.  She passed away September 10, 2022, at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville.

Doris enjoyed helping others care for her flowers, spending time with children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed anything that involved spending time with her family.

Doris worked in the binding department at Hennington’s Publishing in Wolfe City, the student housing department at East Texas State University, and as a greeter at Walmart.  She really enjoyed being a greeter because she could visit with shoppers as they entered the store or as they left to go home.

She was a member of the Crimson River Cowboy Church in Cooper.

She married Bobby Joe McDaniel April 11, 1956, in Paris, Texas.

She is survived by her sons: Ross McDaniel and wife Tammy, and Jeff McDaniel, her daughter-in-law Lucretia Larue.  She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shawn Powell, Cheth McDaniel, BJ McDaniel, Chism McDaniel, Samantha Moore, Miea McDaniel, Miranda Watterson, Mason McDaniel, Chasta McDaniel, Bailee McDaniel, Samuel Larue and Elizabeth Larue.  She has the following great-grandchildren survivors as well: Brayden McDaniel, Summer Tuggle, Zane Moore, Karsyn McDaniel, Mindy McDaniel, Madison McDaniel, Grayson Quinones, JD McDaniel, Hayden McDaniel, Tristan McDaniel, Hollie McDaniel, Carliegh McDaniel, Austyn McDaniel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son: Billy Joe McDaniel, grandson: Shane Powell, and brother: Louis Dunmon.

Visitation will be at 1:00, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M.  The service will be conducted by Pastor Bryce Jester.
