George “Ernie” Sellers age 67 of Wolfe City died at his home on Friday, December 26, 2014. He was born on July 17, 1947 in Alice, Texas to George H. and Magaleen Reynolds Sellers. He married Marie Gillentine in El Paso, Texas on October 29, 1973 and she survives.

Mr. Sellers retired from the City of Greenville and also the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class. During Vietnam he served as an 11 Bravo and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed playing dominoes, and scratch off tickets. He was a caring and loving father and grandfather. His grandchildren were the lights of his life. He enjoyed joking with people and wanted everyone to be happy.

He is survived by his wife Marie Sellers; and their children Tommy McGee of Greenville, George Sellers of Point, Carleton Sellers and wife Tami of Royse City, Perry Sellers of Quincy, Illinois, Matt Sellers of Quincy, Illinois, Ernie Sellers and wife Brooke of Greenville, Presley Sellers of Wolfe City, April Glas and husband John of Wolfe City, Mike Bowen and wife Vickie of Wolfe City, Donna Reeves and husband Keith of Greenville, and 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 29, 2014 at the funeral home interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
