Jack Franklin Coplin was born October 18, 1944. Jack went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 1, 2013. Jack was born in Greenville, TX. to James Dewey Coplin and Velma Faye Norris.

Jack grew up in Caddo Mills. He played 6 man football for Caddo Mills High School. Jack was senior class president and salutatorian. He graduated from Caddo Mills in 1963. Jack graduated from East Texas State University with a major in History. In 1970, he married Edna Orlena Graham in Caddo Mills. Jack was employed at L3 Communications for 30 years. Jack also served 20 years on the Caddo Mills Volunteer Fire Department. Jack was elected to serve on the Caddo Mills ISD School Board. Jack was a Master Mason at the Caddo Mills Masonic Lodge. Jack was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Greenville.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother. Jack is survived by his wife, Edna Orlena Coplin of Commerce, 2 daughters – Christi Coplin Lesikar of Commerce and Amy Coplin Webb of Greenville. He has 3 granddaughters – Mercedes Monk, Alexis Monk, and Peyton Webb, all of Greenville.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. at R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. The funeral will be held at 2:00 P. M., Tuesday November 5, 2013 at the Caddo Mills United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at I O O F Cemetery in Caddo Mills with Jimmy Thompson, Tony Gavin, Troy Bethea, Ronnie Clack, Henry Morris, Reid Bently, Joe Carroll Johnson and Rowdy Payne serving as pallbearers. Danny Payne, Joe Gilmore, Morris Krodle, Wayne Bost, Brian Williams, and Jerry Lloyd Rosenbalm will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
