Jack later established his own accounting firm in Fort Worth, McCaslin & Company, PC., and at the time of his death was a Principal with Whitley Penn, LLP, an accounting and professional consulting firm.
In 1971 Jack and his family moved to Alvarado. There he was active in the local community as a member of the Alvarado ISD school board, First Baptist Church and was later President of the Board of Directors of United Cooperative Services and served on the board of Southwest Bank.
In the midst of all his professional accomplishment, Jack was most proud of his family and being a devoted father to his daughters Jackie and Whitney and granddaughter Meredith. He was also deeply committed to the farming community in Wolfe City, and to the athletics program at SMU.
