January 17, 1945 –  December 8, 2010 James Rubin Combs age 65 of Mexia, Texas died December 8, 2010 at the Mexia State Supported Living Center of Mexia. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Hulsey of Mexia officiating. A private interment will take place after the service. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to the service. He was born January 17, 1945, in Merit to Stanley Byron and Mary Olivia Lovelace Combs. He was a member of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include one sister, Brenda Strayhorn and a nephew, John J Strayhorn both of Sulphur Springs, many friends and other relatives.
