December 15, 1928 –  July 29, 2010 HUCKABEEJeannine Bond Huckabee, a faithful Christian, devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother & great grandmother passed away on July 29, 2010
Jeannine was born in Wolfe City, Texas, on December 15, 1928, the fourth daughter of Charles Spurgeon & Fannie Bond. She graduated from Wolfe City High School and attended Texas Women’s University. Her God, family and home were the center of her life. She enjoyed taking cooking courses from Nancy Parker, world renowned culinary expert, and blessed her family with many delicious meals. Jeannine was active in helping form Terrell Bible Church where she was a member for 12 years. Later, she was a member of Lake Ridge Bible Church before moving to Highland Springs Retirement community in Oct., 2006. She was an active member in the Rowlett Women’s Club, Rowlett Book Club, and her Lake Highlands bridge group. She and her husband travelled the world over for many years.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, first husband, Tarlton Henslee, three older sisters, and a half brother.
SURVIVORS: Loving husband of 48 years, Allen B. Huckabee Jr.; son Jerry Henslee and wife Debby; daughter , Susan Jessup and husband, Greg; five grandchildren, Greg Jessup Jr., Joseph Jessup, Christina Kaczmaryn, Benjamin Jessup and Jonathan Henslee; three great grandchildren; and two nephews, Clint Tittsworth and Charles Tittsworth.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 4, 10:30 AM, visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, at Ted Dickie West Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Rd., Dallas, TX. Dr. Drake Torp-Pederson, pastor of Terrell Bible Church, is officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, TX.
