Jeffrey Dwayne Martin, 52, of Wolfe City, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Jeff was born April 26, 1971, in Greenville, Texas, to Robert Wayne and Rosemary Martin. He married Cheth McDaniel on April 6, 2023, in Wolfe City.

He was a member of the Wolfe City High School class of 1989. He worked for 33 years at Ennis Tag & Label in Wolfe City, Texas. As a boy, he was involved in many things including Boy Scouts of America where he became an Eagle Scout. He played drums and showed cattle when he was in high school where he won many trophies. Before passing, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends (especially his grand babies), hunting and fishing. He was actively involved in the family business baling hay, working cattle, and harvesting pecans, for many years.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Cheth Martin; sons, Coy Martin and husband Kevin, Blayne Martin and wife Tori, Randen Martin, Braden McDaniel, and wife Kara, and Karsyn McDaniel; grandchildren, Emery Martin, Piper Martin, Kinsley Martin and Beckett Martin; brother, Steve Martin and wife Kelly; his mother, Rosemary Martin and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Martin.

The funeral will be conducted by Tim Hearn and Ricky Roberts. Visitation will be held at R.W. Owens Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 6-8:00PM. The Funeral will be held at The Chapel at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3:00pm. Burial to follow the service.

Pallbearers will be Paul Ray Sanders, Jeffery McDaniel, Benton Preas, Chance Martin, Case Martin, Blayne Martin and Randen Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Wise, Bubba Hashaway and John Kervin.
