Jimmie Brignon 90, of Wolfe City, Texas passed away at Clyde Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas. He was born January 25, 1928 in Wolfe City, Texas to Charlie and Fay Brignon. Jimmie married Debra Dicken on December 6, 1975 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He and Debra were married for 42 years.
Jimmie attended Wolfe City High School and graduated with the class of 1945. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He spent his early adult years farming and over sixty years buying cattle. He lived his life as a cowboy, buying and selling cattle and loved the cowboy way of life. Jimmie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City.

He is survived by his wife, Debra, daughter Linda Milton and husband Larry of Greenville, Texas, son Brit Brignon and wife Mandy of Celina, Texas, grandchildren Lance Milton, Jennifer Smith, Julie Sickels, Major Brignon, Charlie Anna Brignon,5 great grandchildren and many honorary grandchildren, including Maci and Austin Ferguson.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; Charlie and Fay, aunts; Ruth Arnold, Nell Esslinger, and uncle; Dwight Rhodes.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 24th 6:00-8:00 pm at Owens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Tim Hearn at the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City on Sunday, February 25th at 2:00. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, also in Wolfe City. R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Ron Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Mark Bussell, Lanny Swinson, Heath Davis, Cody Malone, Jon Anderson, Kevin Brown, and Jack Hale.

The family would like to thank the nurses from Kindred Hospice staff in Greenville for their support and care.
