Joaquin Amaro age 47 of Celeste, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Parkland Hospital after a 11month battle with cancer. He was born in Saucillo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Jesus Amaro and Josefina Rocha. He married Delia Escalante on June 12, 1990 in Saucillo.
Joaquin was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham, and worked as a ranch hand for many years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years Delia Escalante eight children Cindy Escalante of Greenville, Olivia Nino and husband Saul of Howe, Jose Amaro of Celeste, Ismael Amaro of Merritt, Katie Amaro of Bonham, Julie Amaro of Ft. Worth, Eddie Amaro of Celeste and Gabriela Amaro of Celeste, nine grandchildren and six siblings; Sylvia Amaro, Mary Jesus Amaro, Jose Amaro, Jesus Amaro, Josefina Amaro and Felipe Amaro.
Both parents precede him in death.
Visitation and Rosary will be held at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. The Rosary will start at 7:00 P.M.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Bonham. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Jose Amaro, Ismael Amaro, Eddie Amaro, Jose Amaro, Saul Nino, and Sergio Nino serving as pallbearers.

Visitas y Rosario se llevará a cabo en R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home en Wolfe City, Texas el Jueves 8 de septiembre de, 2016, frente 5:00 P.M. hasta las 8:00 P.M. El Rosario se iniciará a las 7:00 P.M.
Una misa funeral se llevará a cabo el viernes 9 de septiembre de, 2016 a 10:00 A.M. en la iglesia Católica St. Elizabeth, en Bonham. Seguirá el sepelio en el monte Cementerio de Carmel en Wolfe City con José Amaro, Ismael Amaro, Eddie Amaro, José Amaro, Saul Nino, Nino y
