Karen Denise Hayes, age 64, passed away at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville on Saturday, August 19, 2023.  She was born to Bill and Barbara Grosvenor October 12, 1958, in Dallas.

The funeral will be at R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home, Friday August 25, 2023, at 1pm with visitation on Thursday August 24, 2023, from 6-8pm.

She graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1976 and married David Hayes March 9, 1985, in Dallas.  She and David raised one son and a daughter.

Karen worked as a librarian / para-professional at Wolfe City ISD.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, and a Past Mother Advisor of Sunshine Assembly #375, I.O.R.G. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband David Hayes, mother Barbara Grosvenor, son: Jarred Hayes and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Rylan Smith, Wyatt Shearer, KyLeigh Shearer, Adalyn Hayes, and one on the way. Daughter: Heather Hayes and granddaughter Savanna Wright. Two sisters: Debra Akerman and her husband Chris, and Wendy Vaughan.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Brandi Pruitt and husband Robert, Camille and Conner Vaughan, Stephanie Cantrell and husband Paul, and Sarah Dixon. As well as her great-nieces and nephews: Charlie Pruitt, Hudson Pruitt, Aiden Cantrell, Gideon Cantrell, Clifton Partridge and Lilliana Dixon and numerous extended family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her Father Bill Grosvenor, Father-in-Law David Leroy Hayes, twin sisters and all grandparents on both sides.
