After a courageous battle with leukemia, Karl Ray Norcross, 50, of Duncanville, Texas, previously of Waxahachie and Lancaster, passed away on November 26, 2013, with his loving family members at his side in Wolfe City, Texas.

Karl was born in Dilley, Texas, on July 21, 1963, to Allen and Margaret Norcross. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1981. He was an auto mechanic by trade, holding an ASE Master Automotive Technician Certification. He was a race car builder and driver by passion, winning numerous trophies, awards, and racing records. Karl had a generous heart and a witty sense of humor that made people laugh and love him. He often would reach out to help others and put their needs before his. Karl was blessed to have a number of friends and family that held vigil with him throughout the lengthy duration of his illness.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Norcross of Wolfe City, and five siblings; brother Fred Norcross and wife Alicia of Wolfe City; sister Paula Fitzgerald and husband Larry of Wolfe City; brother Roy Norcross and wife Sandy of Houston; twin sister Karla Walker and husband Mark of Wolfe City; and brother Mark Norcross and wife Audrey of Ogden, Utah. He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Norcross.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Wolfe City, Texas. Rev. Dr. Edward D. Lee will officiate.

Interment arrangements are being coordinated through Owens Funeral Home of Wolfe City.
