August 23, 1941 –  August 20, 2012 Causey,
Kenneth R. “K.C.” Causey, 70, of Wolfe City passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Causey was born on August 23, 1941 in Caddo Mills, Tx. to Albert Chester and Audrey Mae Burchett Causey. He married LaVerne Turney on Sept. 19, 1958 in Madill, Oklahoma. He retired as a pressman from Ennis Tag & Label after a 50 year career with the company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting , gardening, raising cows and watching his son and grandson play football. Mr. Causey was a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City where he taught Sunday School for 51 years. He was most proud of his love for his wife and family. His life could be summed up in three words, “Tender, Loving and Caring”.
Survivors are his wife and love of his life, LaVerne, of Wolfe City, a daughter; Tammy Hooge and husband Jack of Blossom, Tx. one son; Scott Causey and wife Renee of Grand Prairie, Tx., Grandchildren; Casey Hale and husband Jack, Cole Fuller and wife Lindsey, Madison Causey and Devon Causey; Great-Grandchildren, Ella Kate Hale and Baby Fuller, One sister Kathy Frazier of Greenville, Tx. along with several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Mr. Causey was preceded in death by his parents and 2-sisters; Delores Causey and Linda Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Wolfe City conducted by Bro. David Hawkins. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be at The R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Paul Ray Sanders, Bryant Ed Hill, Brian Wilson, Curtis Fuller, Bryon Frazier, Steve Frazier, Bill George and Bryan George. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Wolfe City.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
